The image below is a page from the Book of Kells.  The Celtic weave in the maple leaf pattern is similar to the Celtic Knot weave in green near the bottom of this page.

The October 18th event is filled, but there will be several of these events next year.  Watch for details in the spring 2009.

Here is what I've been doing the past two weeks.  One is plastic that looks like tatting.  The other is tatted.  Not an easy design to duplicate, but a fun one.  I'll share the directions when I get them written up.  Is it a snowflake with 32 points?  Or just a DOILY?  Sorry for the poor quality photos, the camera angle distorts them a little bit.
