Simple snowflake started at the point instead of at the center

Getting ready to tat compound snowflakes made up of several simple snowflakes. This makes it possible to tat a split ring at the point where the end joins to the beginning, and climb out of this flake to begin another.

If you look carefully, you'll see that I tatted the chains with the wrong shuttle in some places. OOPS! It would look better if I did it the right way - duh!!! Not that I can't follow a pattern, but I just wasn't paying attention.

This thread is DMC Cebelia size 30 This little snowflake is about the size of an aero tatting shuttle bobbin, but the picots at the points stick out beyond the bobbin when I place it on the flake.
